Hearts and Hounds is a growing project powered entirely by everyday dog lovers—and sometimes, we need a little help beyond biscuits. If you’re inspired by what we’re building and want to support behind the scenes, there are a few ways to get involved.

Help in Your Community

One of the most meaningful ways to support Hearts and Hounds is by helping someone else get started. Maybe you know a neighbor who’d love to host a box but can’t afford to buy one—or a senior dog lover who would appreciate help picking up treats at the store. Purchasing a treat box for someone else, sharing supplies, or lending a hand with setup is a beautiful way to grow the movement right where you live.

Local Help Near Newburyport, MA

Are you handy with tools, woodworking, or painting? If you’re in the Newburyport area, we’d love your help building treat boxes—especially if demand increases. We’re looking to build simple, weather-resistant boxes that others can purchase and set up in their own neighborhoods. Every extra set of hands helps keep this project growing strong.

Legal Support

We’d love to formally become a nonprofit, but we want to do it the right way. If you’re a lawyer or legal professional willing to donate time or guidance to help us incorporate and establish nonprofit status, we’d be incredibly grateful. It’s a key step that would allow us to expand our impact and legitimacy—especially as more people join the movement.

Business & Tech Costs

While we don’t currently accept donations through the site, some folks have kindly offered to help with things like server fees, printing materials, and startup costs. If you’d like to make a non-tax-deductible contribution to help cover these types of expenses, please reach out directly. We’ll always be transparent about how support is used.
